Artist
and Producer Rosenberg Joins Tigertail Productions MIAMI - Tigertail Productions, a pioneering South Florida
presenter of contemporary performance, educational programs in the
arts, and projects that support local artists, has hired Robert
Rosenberg as their new Associate Director. Rosenberg, an Emmy Award-winning
filmmaker, brings a wide range of experience in the cultural field
to his work. He has produced and programmed a variety of arts events,
including founding and directing the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film
Festival and the recently concluded Discover Miami music festival,
and has become a fixture on the South Florida cultural scene.
Joe
Sonken Charitable Trust Donates $2,500 to the
Art and Culture Center of Hollywood Hollywood
Thanks to a $2,500 donation from the Joe Sonken Charitable
Trust, children staying at the Hollywood-based Broward Outreach
Center (BOC) received scholarships to attend the Art and Culture
Center of Hollywoods spring break camp and will have the opportunity
to participate in the Center's summer arts camps. The trust was
established after the death of Hollywood restaurateur Joe Sonken,
who owned the Gold Coast Restaurant on Hollywood Beach until it
was destroyed in a fire.

Lappin to Appear at Carnegie Hall Tribute to Skitch Henderson
PALM BEACH- Palm Beach Pops' Bob Lappin will perform at the concert
proceeding the New York Pops 23rd Anniversary Gala at Carnegie Hall
on May 8. The evening, 88 Keys for Skitch, celebrates the life and
contributions to the American Songbook of the late Maestro Henderson.
Joining Maestro Lappin will be Liza Minnelli, Darlene Love, Kid
Rock and the cast of the Broadway hit Jersey Boys. The evening will
be hosted by Elaine Stritch and Van Cliburn is the honorary chairman
of the gala.

Annual Reach for the Stars Gala Auction At Actors' Playhouse Raises
More Than $175,000 CORAL
GABLES - Nearly 600 friends and supporters of the Actors' Playhouse
gathered at the Miracle Theatre Saturday evening April 22nd for
the 15th Annual Reach for the Stars Gala Auction. Hosted by Chairman
of the Board Dr. Lawrence E. Stein and Executive Producing Director
Barbara S. Stein, the auction was held at the restored Art Deco
Miracle Theatre, located at 280 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. Barbara
Stein announced to the guests that this years auction was
dedicated to the memory of the Honorable John Cosgrove, a long-time
theatre friend and donor. Mayor Donald Slesnick of Coral Gables
also shared his thoughts about Johns outstanding long-time
public service career.

Gables Chamber Recognizes Barbara S. Stein as Corporate Business
Woman of the Year CORAL
GABLES - The
Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce recently named Barbara S. Stein,
Executive Producing Director of Actors Playhouse at the Miracle
Theatre, the 2006 Business Woman of the Year in the Corporate Category.
The award was created to recognize women in the community who demonstrate
excellence in their business of profession, as well as a commitment
to serve as a role model to other women.
Miami
Teens Compete In International Poetry Slam Festival
MIAMI -Six
Miami-area teenagers will travel to New York City from April 25
to 30 to compete in the 9th Annual Brave New Voices Youth Poetry
Slam Festival. The festival includes participants from almost 40
cities from across the country participating in workshops and readings
with established poets and performers, open mikes, and the National
Youth Poetry Slam itself, a competitive event. The Miami team,
which includes a diverse range of some of South Floridas best
young writers, was selected from participants in the local WordSpeak
program sponsored by the noted arts non-profit Tigertail Productions.

Joy A. Satterlee, APR, has been named Lexus Leader of the
